Some early watches strike like a clock, at regular intervals, and also include a repeater mechanism that is activated by depressing the pendant. This clock Watch has both features. The outer case is made of shagreen and decorated in much the same manner as piqué: copper studs are arranged in a pattern of stems, leaves, and flower heads. The pierced and engraved decoration on the band and reverse of the inner case has a floral design, while the bezel is engraved with husks.
